This week’s PSHE

Votes For Schools

Ahead of Food Waste Action Week (6th-12th March), voters are going to consider the action being taken by UK supermarkets to tackle this ever-growing problem.

In the lessons, they will explore what is being done and how – if at all – this might be improved. They will then have their say on “Are UK supermarkets doing enough to tackle food waste?”

We have provided some additional help and support in the Home Information Sheet, as we are aware this discussion may be challenging for some students in the current climate.

Have a look at the lesson – how would you vote?

Sixth Form Cultural Day

On Friday 28th February, we celebrated our very first Cultural Day organised by one of our Year students, Joy.

Joy did an amazing job of coordinating events for the whole day which included students being able to taste world foods from countries such as Nigeria, Congo, Thailand, New Zealand and Romania to name a few.

Some students wore traditional dress whilst others took part in quizzes, cultural dances and games all hosted by our resident MC Mr Mba.

The day was a great success and we are looking forward to building on this next year and ensuring that it always forms part of our Sixth Form calendar year.
